You will need one large or 2 small oranges for the rind and juice. Grate only the orange skin of the orange. The white under the skin is bitter. Grate the orange skin and then slice the orange in half along the center. Squeeze the juice over a small bowl and remove the seeds. You will need the juice in a bowl wide enough to dip each biscuit. The first three ingredients are combined in a small dish or bowl wide enough to dip each biscuit individually in the sugar mixture.
I have never tried flakey biscuits so I don’t know if they would work. If you feel adventurous give it a try and let me know how they turn out.
Easy Orange Rolls
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine the sugar, grated orange rind and cinnamon in a small dish.
Dip each biscuit in orange juice and dredge in the sugar mixture coating all sides.
Arrange biscuits in a lightly greased 9-inch round or square baking dish, pie pan or cake pan.
Sprinkle biscuits with remaining sugar mixture, and drizzle with remaining orange juice.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden. Serve warm. Enjoy.
Note: Any orange juice settling in the bottom of your baking dish will turn into a glaze. Just spoon it over your rolls. Be careful not to over cook the rolls.
